The MAA Medicare Charitable Foundation, has been actively making a difference through initiatives of both its’ nonprofit arms - MAA Medicare Kidney Charity Fund and MAA Medicare Heart Charity Fund. The past 22 years, the Medicare Kidney Charity Fund has assisted thousands of needy kidney patients with high quality, subsidized hemodialysis care. Today, the Fund is the 2nd largest non-profit provider in Malaysia, caring for 820 patients at its’ 12 centres nationwide and has extended a whole spectrum of free services to assist the underprivileged patients. The Medicare Heart Charity Fund strives to save lives and improve health through disease prevention, life-saving cardiac diagnosis and safe treatment modalities. The Fund also advocates health education with the objective to create awareness and instigate research on cardiac diseases. The Foundation believes in providing assessable and affordable treatment for its patients and will strive continuously to progress its journey with strong fundamentals in management, prudent policies, sound administration and a transparent system to establish the organization in good stead.
