The Mahendra Educational Trust was founded by pioneer educationist, Shri.M.G.Bharath Kumar who has been instrumental in transforming education in Salem, Namakkal and the surrounding rural regions. Established in 1978 at Kalippattti, the institution is helmed by the Chairman, Shri.M.G.Bharath Kumar, the Secretary of the Trust Tmt.Valliyammal Bharath Kumar, who was bestowed with Tamil Nadu Government’s Best Teacher Award and the two Managing Directors, Er.Ba.Mahendhiran and Er. Maha Ajay Prasath. For over three decades now the Mahendra Educational Trust has been providing students a deeply transformative learning experience. Started as a Higher Secondary School, MET has now expanded to include various schools and colleges that promote intellectual discovery and greater learning. The Mahindra Educational Trust was established with the sole mission of empowering the rural youth.
