Manufacturing Skill Standards Council

The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) is an industry-led standards-based, training, assessment and certification system focused on the core skills and foundational knowledge needed by the nation’s front-line production and supply chain logistics technicians. The nationwide MSSC System, based upon industry-defined and federally-endorsed national standards, offers both entry-level and incumbent technicians the opportunity to demonstrate that they have acquired the skills increasingly needed in the high-growth, technology-intensive jobs of the 21st century. With a total of 7 distinct certifications, MSSC offers certificates in Production, Certified Production Technician (CPT) 4.0 and CPT+; Supply Chain Logistics, Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT); as well as 3 individual certifications pertaining to Supply Chain Automation, Certified Technician - Supply Chain Automation (CT-SCA) and also a new program geared toward certifying forklift technicians, Certified Forklift Technician (CFT).
