Marfa Invitational is an independent Contemporary Arts and Culture Nonprofit Foundation, located in Marfa, Texas. Set amongst the high plains of the Chihuahuan Desert of far West Texas. Establishing a new Vision for the 21st Century as a leading global platform for Contemporary Art and Culture- Marfa Invitational provides an unparalleled platform for viewing and experiencing today's foremost considered and consequential Visionaries. From Contemporary Art and Design to avant-garde Film and Fashion. Marfa Invitational's interdisciplinary programming advances innovation and exploration across creative borders. Supporting both traditional Contemporary Art practices and New Genre platforms alike- from Painting, Sculpture, and Textiles, to Digital Media, Sound, and Movement. As well as nurturing the cross-pollination of medium and genre through the collaborative process among visionaries. Transcending what we have come to understand as the traditional institutional model and norm - Marfa Invitational is grounded in the credence that sensory immersion via Contemporary Art, and all its forms, heightens the 'human experience'.
