The Maryland Head Start Association is a link between local Head Start programs in the state of Maryland and the National Head Start Association. The mission of MHSA is to strengthen communities across Maryland by providing quality leadership, training, and advocacy at local, state, regional, and national levels around school readiness and the needs of high-risk children and families. MHSA seeks to assist Head Start programs through education and training opportunities; advocating on behalf of Head Start children and families across the state of Maryland; and by educating the community at large on the issues of low-income children and families and school readiness.
