Medical University of Bialystok

the medical university of bialystok is a prestigious and distinct centre of excellence and potential. the university staff members offer high standard of teaching and are an opinion- forming milieu in the region. the ratio of 116 professors and 100 doktor habilitowany degree holders to 786 university teachers is one of the highest and earns the university one of the top places in the tertiary education rankings in poland. in july 2012, in the first edition of a contest announced by the polish ministry of higher education, the centre for innovative research of the medical university of bialystok was awarded the status of the leading national research centre 2012-2017 (krajowy naukowy ośrodek wiodący-know). a total of 4500 students are enrolled in fourteen courses, including 247 students taught in english. the learning opportunities are being constantly enhanced to suit the needs of the continuously developing job market. our university has two unique courses to offer: speech therapy with phonoaudiology, and radiography and medical imaging (master’s degree level). the university has at its disposal the state-of- the-art research infrastructure: centre of experimental medicine, euroregional pharmacy centre and centre of innovative research.
