Mercatus Co-operative Limited

Mercatus is a Latin word which means market place where trade or a business is conducted. Mercatus Co-operative Limited is the real estate subsidiary of NTUC Enterprise incorporated in May 2011 under the Co-operatives Societies Act and is one of the NTUC social enterprises under the NTUC Enterprise family. It is our vision to own and manage a portfolio of commercial properties to provide NTUC social enterprises with access to commercial space and generate sustainable, long term returns for the Labour Movement. We own and manage strategically located shopping malls in the heartlands of Singapore to provide NTUC social enterprises with retail space to serve the daily needs of working families. We are proud to house many of the NTUC social enterprises in our properties so that union members, residents and visitors to the malls are able to enjoy affordable and quality products and services. NTUC Enterprise is owned by the National Trade Union Congress, Singapore Labour Foundation and their affiliated unions and guides the development of the NTUC Enterprise’s family of social enterprises to meet the evolving needs of aspirations of working families in Singapore.
