Mercy International Association was founded in 1992 to mobilise the Sister of Mercy’s expertise around the world to address urgent contemporary humanitarian challenges. Our mission is to unify Sisters and our partners to address the root causes of issues like poverty, human trafficking and environmental sustainability. We advance these objectives through advocacy, education and direct action. For instance, we maintain a full-time desk at the United Nations in New York where we amplify the voices of those we serve and advocate for their rights to be recognised at an international level.
