UT Life Insurance Ltd formerly Golden Life Assurance Company Limited started as a wholly owned subsidiary of CDH Insurance Company Limited with the name CDH Life Assurance Co. Ltd. The company was incorporated in 2005 but remained dormant until October 2007. The Life operation over these years was a department of CDH Insurance Company Limited now NSIA Ghana Insurance. In line with the Insurance Law Act 724 of 2006, the Life Department was separated from the General Business operation and the Golden Life Assurance now UT Life Insurance was formed to meet the requirement of the law.
