Recognizing the impact of human and industrial activities on the environment, while also stressing the importance of industrial development as a critical source of economic growth, economic diversification, and value addition, we are all responsible to commit ourselves to coherent policy and actions in order to protect, manage and restore our resources and ecosystems and to promote their sustainable use, reduce pollution and mitigate climate change. The business sector has a critical role in the sustainable development process and could be an effective factor for change. This requires understanding the benefits of sustainable business models and environmentally conscious behavior and will only be possible by ensuring favorable framework conditions, advancing proper education and quality support services. We all need to change behavior, as individual, companies, institutions or policy makers, and move rapidly towards more sustainable consumption and production patterns. This is an invitation to all interested parties!
