The Nelson Regional Development Agency (NRDA) was established by the Nelson City Council on 1 July 2016, from the merger of the former Nelson Regional Economic Development Agency and Nelson Tasman Tourism. The purpose of the NRDA is to enhance the sustainable economic vitality of the Nelson Tasman region by leading the development of a unique and compelling Regional Identity. This will be achieved in partnership with the public and private sectors, through the attraction and retention of investment, visitors and talent who want to add to the special character of the region.
