The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) is the governing organization for interscholastic athletics in New York State. NYSPHSAA is the third-largest state association in the country with over 375,000 student-athlete participants. NYSPHSAA serves as a central organization for its member schools to promote education-based athletics, sportsmanship, standards of eligibility, safety and equality. Approximately 15,000 student athletes participate in 32 NYSPHSAA State Championship events annually.
