Nordic Academy is the recognized authority and leading provider for training for health and fitness professionals and equipment in the field of Nordic Walking. Nordic Academy is the realisation of a dream by its founders, Patrick Burtscher and Maree Farnsworth, to share the benefits and enjoyment with as many others as possible. Patrick and Maree were first involved in Nordic Walking during their time living in Austria. They were instant converts and it was not long until they had sought out the best instructors in Europe in which to train under. In 2005 they moved back to Australia promoting and developing Nordic Walking and establishing Nordic Academy Australia. Years of comitment to quality service and products combined with their dedication to their vision saw their business and reputation grow to the point where Nordic Academy International with divisions in New Zealand and Singapore was founded. Nordic Academy is also the sole representative in the Asia-Pacific region of the independently administrated international 'Nordic Walking Organisation'.
