North American Lithium Inc. (NAL) is a subsidiary of CATL. Located in La Corne, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec, we operate an open pit lithium mine and produce commercial grade spodumene concentrate (lithium). Currently, we export our product to China where it is processed into lithium carbonate and used, among other things, in the production of electric vehicle batteries. CATL’s principal clients include: Volkswagen, GM, BMW, Jaguar, Fiat, Chrysler, Nissan, Hyundai, Honda, Ford, Volvo and Audi. Our customer base is growing and the need for lithium is increasing. We are here to answer to this increasing demand. By 2020, we plan to resume operations in the lithium carbonate plant, here in La Corne, to allow the on-site transformation of spodumene concentrate into lithium carbonate with an estimated production of 23 000 tonnes per year.
