North Warwickshire & Hinckley College is a leading Further Education college based in the Midlands. Through its Mission, which is to achieve success through learning, the College is committed to working in partnership with employers to ensure that it delivers the skills training that industry needs today and in the future. On 1 August 2016, North Warwickshire & Hinckley College merged with South Leicestershire College forming North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College. The merger will enable both organisations to share best practice, improve quality, develop new learning opportunities for students and communities, and operate more efficiently. Marion Plant OBE FCGI is Principal and Chief Executive of the North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College group, and is Chief Executive of the College-led Midland Academies Trust. Marion serves on several national and regional bodies, which include trustee of WorldSkills UK and is Chair of the national AoC WorldSkills Portfolio Group. She is also a Board member of the Church of England Board of Education and Co-Chair of Faith and Beliefs in FE. She is also the board member responsible for Skills on the Board of the Leicester and Leicestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and chair of the skills business group for the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership. Marion received her Fellowship to the City & Guilds Institute and became a Fair Train Work Experience Champion during 2016.
