Oak Grove Center is a nonprofit serving at-risk and special needs youth through residential care, education, and treatment. Oak Grove’s mission is to rebuild the lives of at-risk children and their families through education, healing, restoring relationships, building character and instilling hope. We believe the work we do today builds a better tomorrow. Oak Grove Center offers varied level of services for children and young adults ages 5 to 22 throughout California struggling with psychological, emotional and behavioral problems and special needs. The residential campus houses 76 children, many of whom have suffered severe trauma including child abuse and neglect. Oak Grove’s nonpublic schools serve an average of 150 students daily and offers specialized services and opportunities for at-risk and special needs youth such as sports, music, and the arts. Oak Grove programs also work to rebuild family relationships through intensive family therapy, wraparound services, partial hospitalization, outpatient services, addiction recovery and relapse programs, and much more. Oak Grove Center is the gold standard of facilities in California for at-risk children being recognized by the Joint Commission (JCAHO) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Oak Grove is also licensed as a STRTP (Short-Term Residential Treatment Program).
