Old man's beard (Clematis vitalba) is an introduced pest plant that grows rapidly strangling our native bush. Our mission is to inspire Wellingtonians to control the 80-90% of old man's beard which is accessible allowing the council spending to be used for controlling the remainder. Using social media to spread the message and grow the community, we run workshops and working bees to educate people on old man's beard control.
