Partnership for Change is a Norwegian organisation that supports aspiring countries to develop a thriving Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) sector (colloquially referred to as 'day care') via legal infrastructure, training, model centres, and value-chain growth. Extensive research shows that Early Childhood Care and Education is not simply a privilege, but a prerequisite for inclusive development. It delivers a 'Triple Win' to inclusive development: 1) Enhancing gender equality because mothers can work; 2) Reduces socio-economic inequality as it boosts children's cognitive and socio-emotional development at the most critical time, leading to better educational and professional outcomes later in life; and 3) Increases economic growth through job creation, taxation, productivity, and a larger pipeline of talent. Despite this, Early Childhood Care and Education has yet to become an element in mainstream international development: Partnership for Change strives to change this through advocacy and project implementation.
