Pasatiempo Barbecue

Located in the Chicago suburbs, we Pasatiempo Barbecue exists to foster relationships through barbecue, bourbon & beer, and great music. From competitions to tailgates to local catering to backyard cooks with friends and family to producing high-quality products, Pasatiempo Barbecue is about connection. Pasatiempo means “passing of time”, and what better way to do that than through barbecue with friends old and new, a good drink, and great music? Curing vegans…what’s that all about? That came about from a tailgate we did at the Michigan-Notre Dame game in Ann Arbor last fall. We served our Signature bacon and one lady came up to us and said, “I’m a vegan, but I just can’t stop eating your bacon. I just keep coming back for more. It’s amazing!” And thus, the motto was born — a play on words since our bacon is cured for 7-10 days prior to being smoked. In actuality, we are here to serve all people of all genders, races, religions, and culinary persuasions.
