Patients First plays in the integration space i.e. “in the commons”. Patients First is a national programme of work – effectively not for profit – with funding invested in integration of information. Patients First grew out of the National Primary Care Quality and Information Programme – and has evolved. The work that we do traverses and integrates primary care and secondary care systems and information. We create and maintain some of the tools for a joined up eco-system (wrapped around the patient). This is independent of setting of care or professional group. We’ve tried to match this philosophy in the branding – “Patients First”
