Chris Davis began making high-fire stoneware pottery in 1972 at the Canton Institute of Art in Ohio. After a move to Maine in 1984, she and her husband Alex, established The Pottery Shop in Perkins Cove. Since that time many wonderful people have bought her functional stoneware. Her pots can be found in every state and in over twenty foreign countries. In the tradition of the Arts and Crafts Movement in America, her pottery is The Art that is Life. It is meant to be used.
