It is our customers who are also the owners of our credit union and as owners, they have a voice. Our members elect our board of directors in a democratic one-person-one-vote system regardless of the amount of money invested in the credit union. Because our members are also our owners - we serve people, not profit. The Investments of our members stay in our community, and are available for loans to other community members. Interest paid on the loans also stays in the community, which helps to achieve greater prosperity for everyone.
