Prepaid24 serve Eskom electricity clients as well as clients in over 80 municipalities countrywide including metropolitan municipalities. Prepaid24 is a subsidiary of Blue Label Telecoms, a JSE listed company. Their core business is the distribution of secure electronic tokens of value, predominantly prepaid airtime, electricity and ticketing, and transactional services across its global footprint of touch points. Prepaid24 intend targeting areas beyond the major metropolitan areas in South Africa, as a next phase of growth. As for Africa, Prepaid24 have a presence in Botswana and Namibia and will soon be offering a solution for the Zimbabwean Diaspora of which there are 5 million in South Africa. That will enable them to purchase airtime and electricity and pay utility bills like DSTV. A smart solution will be introduced for Private Banks through which they will be able to offer their clients VAS (value added service) like airtime, data, electricity, I-Tunes vouchers, Google Play vouchers and bill payments with an integrated support system.
