Pro-Choice Oregon

Pro-Choice Oregon has been a political leader of the pro-choice movement since 1977 Our Mission: Pro-Choice Oregon develops and sustains a constituency that uses the political process to guarantee every person who can become pregnant the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion. PCO is comprised of three different entities working together to protect choice across Oregon Pro-Choice Oregon, Inc., a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, works through the political and legislative systems to advocate for comprehensive reproductive health policies and to secure reproductive choice for all Oregonians. Pro-Choice Oregon defends the right to choose and works to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, thereby reducing the number of abortions. Using sophisticated political strategies, extensive grassroots organizing, and effective lobbying, Pro-Choice Oregon has fought and won numerous pro-choice victories in its 25-year history.
