The area is known for its rainforests, beaches, wildlife and breathtaking coastal views. Wilsons Promontory National Park or 'The Prom', as it is affectionately known, covers an outstanding 52,000 hectares and is the southernmost point of the Australian mainland. A popular destination for campers and bushwalkers, the area has been occupied for over 6500 years and was discovered by the Europeans in 1798.
