Punihani International, established in 1985, is one of India’s oldest and leading manufacturers and exporters of leather garments, bags, and accessories from India. Since its inception in 1985, the company has been supplying to some of the best–known European retailers and brands. Punihani International owns three factories in and around New Delhi. The factories are compliant with the BSCI code of conduct as well as with SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit). The leather qualities used are as per REACH standards. The company currently has a workforce of over 500 employees and a total production area of approximately 90,000 sq.ft. The third production unit based in Gurgaon is a green factory certified by “GRIHA” (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) a non-government agency, approved by the Ministry of Environment, Government of India. This factory is the first of its kind in the leather sector. The company has received several awards for “Best Exports Performance in Leather Garments” and “National Productivity and Innovation” from the Council For Leather Exports and the Ministry of Commerce. We have also been awarded with the first position for “Best Leather Goods Design- Hand Bags” by the Council For Leather Exports in India, which is very much in tandem with our business philosophy of keeping up with the times by being equally focused on design and development.
