Rabo Private Equity (RPE) is the investment platform of the Rabobank Group. RPE offers two direct investment activities: Rabo Participaties (RaPar) and Phoenix Recovery Capital (Phoenix) and also manages funds in which Rabo invests (RPE Indirect Funds). RaPar is a captive fund that invests in Dutch SME companies ( EUR 1,5m EBITDA). RaPar invests in varied situations, e.g. growth and Management Buy-Outs, and commits to a wide range of sectors and activities (sector agnostic). RaPar invests through cumulative preference share solutions where new investments range from EUR 2m to EUR 15m. Phoenix is a captive fund that offers different equity solutions, e.g. debt-to-equity swaps, for restructuring purposes to support Rabobank clients in distressed circumstances. Thus Phoenix works closely with Special Asset Management (RN BBR) of Rabobank Group. Investments may range from EUR 2m to EUR 10m. RPE Indirect Funds participates in a portfolio of strategic funds focused on specific markets in strategically relevant geographies. Through the indirect funds, Rabobank typically plays an active role as sponsor LP and seeks to leverage Rabobanks knowledge and network to facilitate value-add where applicable, including Investment and Advisory Committees seats and roles where appropriate.
