Radiation Oncology Centres (ROC) (formed with the amalgamation of Radiation Oncology Queensland (ROQ), Radiation Oncology Institute (ROI) and Oceania Oncology) is Queensland's largest provider of radiation oncology and one of Australia's fastest growing providers and offers a comprehensive range of specialist and general radiation therapy procedures. Equipped with the very latest technology, ROC has grown rapidly since clinical inception in Toowoomba in May 2007. In June 2011 ROC commenced services in Cairns at the state of the art Liz Plummer Cancer Centre. And in January 2014 ROC at the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH). And in late 2015 Springfield site opened. ROC is part of Icon Group, Australasia's fastest growing healthcare provider and now has centres in Maroochydore, Fraser Coast and Bundaberg and in New South Wales at Wahroonga and Gosford. ROC is also at North Lakes at Icon's Integrated Cancer Centre. With the aim of delivering high quality and affordable radiation therapy services nation wide, ROC has established itself as one of the first truly digital radiation oncology facilities in the world. ROC employs staff from a range of professions: radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, medical physicists, nursing and administrative staff.
