Raise is a charity encouraging students to adopt a positive approach towards deliberate, effective giving. There are currently chapters in Bristol, Cambridge (under the name MWA), Durham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Oxford, Sheffield, and Warwick. Students donate an amount significant to them to the Against Malaria Foundation, which is then doubled through our match-funding. At the end of the academic year, we come together as a community at a Summer Party to celebrate our collective impact. In the five years since our founding, we've had 2,700 students join and raised over £466,000, helping to protect over 559,000 people from malaria. Raise: A Celebration of Giving is a registered charity in England and Wales (number 1202899).
