Reach Energy was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 as a private limited company on 7 February 2013 under the name of Reach Energy Sdn Bhd. On 2nd August 2013 our company converted into a public company and was renamed as Reach Energy Berhad. On 15th August 2014, Reach Energy Berhad became the fourth and largest oil and gas Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), successfully accomplished its initial public offering (IPO) with both its shares and warrants officially commencing trading on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. The IPO raised a total of RM750 million. Upon receiving 81% shareholders' approval for the QA on the 16th November 2016, Reach has completed the transaction on the 23rd November 2016 and repurchased all dissenting shares. Reach Energy is now a full-fledged Shariah-compliant independent oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) firm with a maiden oilfield asset in Kazakhstan. Reach Energy is the operator of Emir-Oil Concession block in Kazakhstan (60% equity interest) with awarded Exploration and Production Contracts up to Year 2036.
