A mission driven organization whos objective is to promote the formation and expansion of small and disadvantaged businesses in the State of Virginia. Started in 1995 as a part of the City of Richmonds Department of Economic Development, REDCs mission is twofold: Foster and promote the formation and expansion of small and disadvantaged businesses in designated low-wealth communities to create and increase jobs, stimulate economic development and increase the flow of capital, and create a sustainable Business Model which will enable REDC to provide a consistently high level of services to these constituencies.
