RE.MAC.UT. is a privately held company established on 1952 in Rivoli, near Turin, the capital of Italy's car industry. Its core business was the design, the production and the refurbishment of high precision machine tools and part handling systems for the all the major worldwide car and truck manufacturing companies. The experience accrued in the production of high precision equipment, together with extremely dynamic engineering research, was successfully transferred to the offshore technology on 1974: RE.MAC.UT was selected for the construction of one of the most advanced pipe lay barges in the world, the SAIPEM CASTORO SEI. RE.MAC.UT.'s experience successfully grew in the following years, with the study, the production and the development of new advanced machineries and subsea equipment. RE.MAC.UT today designes and manufactures deck and subsea equipment for the offshore oil and gas market: Tensioners for rigid and flexible pipes, Tensioners for umbilicals and power cables, Capstan and Storage Winches, Pipe handling equipments (rollers, transfer cars, elevators, line up station), Stinger rollers, Internal Line up Clamps with radio control, Controls, Control Systems, Refurbishment of Barge cranes, Subsea Tools. These can be applied to different pipe lay processes (shallow or deepwater, S-lay, J-lay, Reel lay or Flexible lay) and big range of pipes (4-72 OD, 6-48 m length). Equipments can be supplied with third party certification (ABS, DNV, Lloyd, Rina, etc...)
