RMF Tech GmbH

Many technical and smelting processes generate waste associated with obligations of disposal. Most of it still contains a large quantity of highly in demand materials. The interdisciplinary team of RMF (Resource Technology & Metal processing Freiberg) develops new methods in order to close the gap in the raw material cycle. The team created a forward-looking extraction process for technology metals, like indium, gallium and germanium, obtained from various residues. The developed technology follows the chemical recycling approach, which involves the recycling of secondary components contained in the material flow and the avoidance of waste. The technology is characterised by a variety of possible applications: It enables the processing of both primary and secondary material flows. These include residual materials from the smelting of various base metals, such as tailings, slags and dusts, which are generated worldwide, as well as production waste from electronics and solar industries. The RMF team refines chemical-technical processes and aims to solve critical challenges related to the field of waste and residual material processing. Based on the analysis of specific processes, we develop efficient action strategies for future business operations. Feel free to contact us for more information.
