Roughan & O'Donovan Innovative Solutions (ROD-IS) was established in 2009 as a subsidiary of Roughan & O'Donovan Consulting Engineers to provide a consultancy outlet for advanced research in the areas of bridge analysis and assessment and to provide opportunities for clients to avail of these innovative services for the design, assessment and optimised whole-life management of new and existing infrastructure. ROD-IS capabilities in complex bridge and structural engineering have been developed from a highly professional staff with broad international experience and the drive and passion to search for efficient and innovative solutions. ROD-IS clients have included the European Commission, Conference of European Directorate of Roads (CEDR), national and international road, rail and water authorities and Internationally based small/medium enterprises. In addition to providing specialist consultancy services, ROD-IS is deeply involved in European research and development projects through its participation in a number of European 5th/6th and 7th Framework (FP7) and H2020 Funded Projects. ROD-IS’s area of expertise encompasses the following fields: - Weigh in Motion - Structural Health monitoring - Traffic Load Modelling and - Risk Based Asset Management.
