Rodinia Generation

The fashion industry has a problem with overproduction. This is not only translated into devastating environmental impact but also into huge financial losses. The reason is an outdated manufacturing industry, that relies on technology invented before the internet. The fashion manufacturing industry is now ripe for renewal, as old ways are not meeting the needs of today’s fashion brands and consumers. As a result, the industry is struggling and the number of manufacturers in Europe are decreasing. In 2017, Rodinia Generation was founded by Trine Young, with one goal: Changing the fashion industry for the better. With a strong ambition to drive forward the transformation, from being one of the world’s most polluting industries to becoming a digital and sustainable one, The Green Fashion Factory was setup in Copenhagen in 2020. Rodinia has been recognized by fashion companies, investors and public funding bodies (i.e. Innovation Fund Denmark) incl. the European Patent-office and has secured €1.7M from investors and grants. A new era of fashion production has now started, making it possible to provide fashion brands with a production solution that supports a profitable business and taking care of the environment.
