Founded in 1880, Penrhos College was an independent Methodist girls' boarding school in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. Five years later, in 1885, Rydal School was founded as an independent Methodist boys' boarding school, also in Colwyn Bay. In 1999 the two school merged to form Rydal Penrhos School.
