SafeRide America

SafeRide America is a non-profit, driver-for-hire, public service designed to help prevent impaired driving. SafeRide's mission is to proactively prevent all types of impaired driving and assist children that have been orphaned or injured dues to impaired driving crashes. SafeRide's goals are to eliminate the two main excuses that people use to justify driving while impaired which are not having money to pay for a taxi or hotel and the need for a potential impaired driver to have their car with them. SafeRide also collects funds for children that have been orphaned or injured due to impaired driving crashes. We strive to do this through social enterprise and traditional methods of fundraising. SafeRide strives to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving crashes through literature distribution, signage placed where alcohol is consumed, breathalyzer vending machines and other related programs. SafeRide also helps provide protection for bar/restaurant owners and staff as well as event organizers from the liability of serving alcohol. Lastly, SafeRide strives to provide the general public with a viable alternative to driving while impaired by providing a low-cost or free ride home in their own vehicle.
