The Samilia Foundation has been created in order to make the fight against trafficking in human beings a European priority. To reach this goal, the Foundation took the initiative to set up one of the recommendations made by the group of experts mandated by the European Commission. This recommendation called to the creation of a multidisciplinary European network. It is on the 13th December 2007 that it became concrete with the meeting that took place at Brussels and gave birth to the Samilia Group.
