Saora Industries, is a social enterprise inspired by the dire need of clean and safe drinking water for the masses in rural and marginalized communities. From an initial prototype of a solar powered water filter in 2013 till to date, Saora has received various awards and accreditations from Malaysian and international bodies for innovation and social impact. Saora utilizes affordable and green technology without compromising the environment and maximizing the positive impact to it beneficiaries. We aim to prove that business, technology and community development can work hand in hand. With members of the board comprising of scientists , strategists and activists, the organization is molded on the best practices derived from their experience. Through continuously reviewing its services, taking into account feedback from the grassroots and keeping abreast with technology, we promise and delivers the best solution for sustainable, affordable and environmental-friendly solution to those in need. Currently operating in Malaysia, Saora has so far garnered the support from Yayasan Siti Sapura, Hong Leong Foundation and Yayasan Kemajuan Insan Sarawak in delivering clean safe drinking water and basic electricity supply to communities in rural Peninsula and East Malaysia. We are constantly looking into innovations and inventions that is easy and affordable enough to be transferred to the grassroots and make an impact on their lives.
