SASH (Safe And Sound Homes)

SASH (Safe And Sound Homes) prevents young people from becoming homeless by offering them a room in the home of a volunteer. We help in 16-25 year-olds in North and East Yorkshire. We also provide an emergency accommodation project, Nightstop, and a longer-term Supported Lodgings scheme. Our ambition is that those we help never have to experience homelessness again. Our work is only possible thanks to our wonderful volunteers and supporters. In 2018-19 we arranged 1,143 safe nights for vulnerable young people in our community. 79% of the young people helped though our Nightstop service went on to move into stable accommodation. Proud winner of the 'Campaign of the Year' award at the Institute of Fundraising Yorkshire Awards 2020.
