SB Holistic was founded in July 2012 by Sarah Bryan, offering person-centred, made-to-measure, massage treatments. Sarah spent the following three and a half years building up her clinical practice in Sheffield, working with clients with a diverse range of physical and mental health conditions, in a variety of clinical settings: a chiropractic clinic, a physiotherapy clinic, a large legal firm, a holistic health practice and a charity for people with visual impairments. Keen to advance her skills further while establishing a client base, Sarah went on to complete a further diploma in holistic sports and remedial massage at SCMT, with visiting tutor, Julie Linton, principal of the JL Meridian School of Massage and Bodywork in Birmingham. This was complemented by an extensive course in hands-free, deep tissue massage with master practitioner, Darien Pritchard of Dynamic Massage. In 2014, she graduated from the Penny Price Academy of Aromatherapy with an Associate Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy. She is currently studying with Ruth Duncan of Myofascial Release UK, for an Advanced Clinical Diploma in Integrated Myofascial Therapy. Sarah is a practitioner member of both the Massage Training Institute (MTI) and the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA). She is registered as a massage therapist and aromatherapist with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the register of complementary therapists accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), backed by the government and General Medical Council (GMC). Having relocated to Exeter in January 2016, she is now the local Devon champion for the CNHC, working to raise local awareness of the importance of choosing a suitably qualified and insured complementary therapist. Sarah has relocated her massage and aromatherapy practice to the Exeter Natural Health Centre, in Exeter city centre and offers sports massage at local sporting events.
