Founded in 1997, Scholars' Hope Foundation, formerly El Viento, has evolved into a successful college access program. The lives of youth in low-income communities are transformed through a long-term commitment culminating in 100% of our students reaching higher education. The academic journey of students and their families begins in the 5th grade and is guided through high school and college. Our commitment to our mission is built around the belief that all students regardless of their background can succeed if given the time and support. We foster the confidence and skills necessary for success in college and the workplace. Our students become leaders within their own families, mentoring their siblings, inspiring their neighbors, and guiding their parents.
