About: It is the first ever female university in NWFP, established under the Frontier Women University Act 2004, passed by the Provincial Assembly of NWFP on 5th October 2004 and assented by the Governor NWFP/Chancellor. Aims and Objectives: To enhance the quality of higher education in Pakistan, HEC has set up Quality Assurance Agency. It is to ensure the provision of high quality education compatible with international standards. HEC is aspiring to raise the standard of higher education in order to rank Pakistan amongst one of the leading countries in the education sector. One of the measures taken by QAA in this regard is establishment of Quality Enhancement Cells in various universities Our Mission : To provide the women of NWFP with essential skills for facing the challenges of the modern world and to make Frontier Women University one of the most prestigious universities in Higher education through continuous development and progress. Our Vision : To promote a research based education system which encourages every individual in FWU to explore her area of study autonomously. Our objective is to ensure that the students of FWU are exceptionally equipped to prove themselves an asset to their employers and society at large thus, materializing the aim of a society ready to excel swiftly in the global village.
