The Sheffield UTC Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust incorporating three University Technical Colleges (UTCs) which provide employer-led education for students aged 13-19: • UTC Sheffield City Centre • UTC Sheffield Olympic Park • UTC Derby Pride Park We offer specialist courses designed with employers in five exciting areas: Computing; Creative and Digital Media; Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing; Health and Life Sciences and Sport Science. These are all regional, national and international growth areas that will offer strong career opportunities in the future. Students can join from age 13, in Year 9, or at age 16, in Year 12, and study an academic curriculum – GCSEs and A Levels – alongside technical qualifications, working on employer-based projects. Students gain the technical, personal and professional skills to open up opportunities for sought-after apprenticeships, competitive university courses and to prepare them for the world of work. The Trust has very strong backing with lead sponsors in Sheffield College, Sheffield Hallam University and Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Trust also has a wide range of regional and national employer partners and also enjoys support from the University of Sheffield and the University of Derby.
