Sierra Nevada University

The University of Nevada, Reno began operations at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe on July 1, 2022, after entering into an agreement to acquire Sierra Nevada University in Incline Village, Nevada. This spectacular 18-acre setting in the fragrant pines of Incline Village opens up opportunities for our students, faculty, staff and friends to learn, teach, research and share their knowledge here in the High Sierra. The University of Nevada, Reno is developing a multi-campus approach to solving the environmental challenges associated with Lake Tahoe’s air- and watershed, incorporating important issues such as sustainability more directly into the curriculum and developing exciting new ways to engage our students through the learning environment that is Lake Tahoe.
