Were here to do everything we can to nurture the growth of people, businesses and the region. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed and every business the opportunity to thrive. We were established by Cheshire East Council as a new arms-length company in April 2016, to bring together existing skills and growth services under one structure. Our objective is to ensure the council can deliver more for less, achieving greater innovation and benefits for businesses and residents. We support businesses to maximise growth, funding and investment opportunities; increase the availability and take-up of apprenticeships, support people into work, help to create jobs and stimulate economic growth and innovation. In our first year we helped create 988 new jobs which in turn resulted in an increase in Gross Value Added of £84m and a projected business rate income of £470,000. We supported 232 high growth businesses, large employers and inward investment enquiries which led to £15m of capital investment, £18m revenue spend and an increase in floor space of 561,000 sq ft.
