Sky Distribution is a subsidiary of Sky Investments which is a private investment company founded by the Hussein family in 1977. Our investment strategy is Egypt-centric, tapping into our deep local knowledge and experience and extensive business networks to identify great companies and unlock their inherent values. Since our inception, we have been investing in Egypt across diverse industries, currently including energy, distribution, logistics, real estate and tourism. At this time, our capital is at work in 11 companies that employ over 14,000 people. Sky Distribution, established in 2007, is the distributor and service provider which launched Etisalat mobile operator nationwide in indirect sales and franchise for Etisalat shops channels. In 2009, Sky Distribution started distribution of Samsung mobile phones in Egypt through a network of 120 retail stores serviced by 18 warehouse/distribution centers. After-sales service is also a high-margin strategy being pursued. Future retail plans are to be explored including organic store growth, opportunistic acquisitions, and brand and product mix expansion. We offer more than capital to our investees, we provide strategic guidance in all stages of their development. Our track record include both successful start-ups and turnarounds, and we have created dynamic synergies among our portfolio companies. Today, the same as four decades ago, we are patient long-term investors who aim to deliver superior returns to all stakeholders while achieving a positive and sustainable impact on Egypt’s economic growth.
