Smart Antenna Technologies (SAT) is a private spinout company founded by CTO Sampson Hu in 2013, following pioneering antenna research during his PhD at University of Birmingham. Smart Antenna Technologies design and develop patented pioneering antenna technology which provides space efficient, low cost antenna solutions for the PC, multi-media, automotive, mobile devices and network market. The antenna system offers a compact, wideband, multi-standard, multi-port solution for smartphone, tablet, laptop, SmartTV, IoT, Small Cell and Automotive wireless solutions. Standards include cellular GSM, WCDMA, LTE, LTE-A, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but also IoT and Automotive specific standards. The patented SmarTenna antenna technology supports concurrent operation of bands, MIMO and simultaneous services. Antenna products currently supports 450-6GHz, with future capability to support emerging frequencies in 5G.
