SmeCFO was founded by two experienced Chief Financial Officers who gained their expertise in various industries, in public listed multinationals as well as privately held companies. Both have more than 10 years experience in Financial Management. During their careers they met with the CEOs of many small and medium sized enterprises and realized that, often, small organizations could not afford to invest in a full time CFO thereby not benefitting from the major impact a CFO can have on the strategic development of their business. In addition to this when sharing their experience and views on Financial Management they realized that while the role of a CFO is very diverse, in all business environments it is a cornerstone of the organization and vital in driving strategic development. They came to the conclusion that they could combine their experience in order to respond to the demand of entrepreneurs in need of a Finance Executive who would have a long term view of their business and able to advise them in strategic decisions. Therefore SmeCFO was founded to provide small and medium sized enterprises with the expertise of experienced CFOs, in order to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to benefit from the leadership and expert guidance of a highly experienced professional, without having to invest in the recruitment of a full-time CFO.
