smp - International Symposium on Marine Propulsors is a series of international symposiums dedicated to hydrodynamics of all types of marine propulsors (www.marinepropulsors.com). smp was initiated by current chairs, Dr. Kourosh Koushan and Prof. Sverre Steen. First smp was held in Trondheim, Norway (2009). Next smp will be held in Wuxi, China in October 2022. Previous smp's were held in Hamburg, Germany (2011), in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia (2013), Austin, Texas, USA (2015), Espoo, Finland (2017), and Rome, Italy (2019). smp provides a forum to present state-of-the-art research and studies on existing marine propulsors as well as a platform for introduction of new types of propulsors. Special attention is given to high efficiency propulsion devices. Environmental issues are addressed by introducing topics on green propulsion.
